A Simple and Scanted Dessert: Orange, Walnut and Mint
For those who prefer to end a hearty supper lightly - try these orange slices with walnuts, made even fresher with a sprinkle of mint, for dessert.
DESSERT - 4-6 SERVINGS - 15 MIN - EASY
- 2 oranges
- 4 walnuts, roughly chopped
- some mint leaves
- 2 tbsp sugar
- lemon juice
How to do it
- In a small bowl squeeze the lemon juice and add the sugar. Mix well with a fork and keep aside. With a sharp knife, cut away the peel of the oranges by slicing from the top to the bottom, following the contour of the orange. Cut between the membranes to release segments.
- Place the orange segments into a plate, spread the lemon and sugar sauce over them. Dust with minced mint leaves and crushed walnuts. Let rest for a while and serve.
