Puff Pastry Pear

True food art

Sometimes it can be so fun to turn food into work of art. And again it's so simple to do it.

You will need

  • 1 pear

  • Puff pastry

  • 1 egg

  • powdered sugar

puff pastry pear on a plate

How to do it

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C

  2. Cut pear in half

  3. Remove the seeds and make a little hole in the middle, you can make little cuts on top of the pear so it looks a bit prettier but it's not a must

  4. Place pear halves on the puff pastry

  5. Cut puff pastry along the pear lines, you can also cut out some little leaves if you feel like it

  6. Make some egg wash, meaning, beat one egg and add just a little sprinkle of water

  7. Brush puff pastry around the pear with some egg wash

  8. Put Pears in the oven and bake until puff pastry is golden – around 20 minutes

  9. When serving sprinkle with some powdered sugar
