Kiwi and Pear Jam
This delicious kiwi and pear jam is a perfect topping for a yummy dessert or a fresh breakfast. Put it into your yogurt or on your ice cream.
Did you know that kiwis used to be named "Chinese Gooseberries"? Originally they originate from Eastern Asia, but then in the start of the 1900s, they got imported to New Zealand. Here they rose in popularity, and after a few decades, the name was changed to "kiwifruit", in honour of the country's national bird, the Kiwi! These days kiwi have become a well-known fruit, and is used in many different ways, like here in a jam, but it can also be used to make kiwi wine - delicious!
Sugar with pectin 220 g
Juice from one lemon
Simply peel the fruits and chop into small cubes. Add to a pot and slowly bring to a boil. Cook for around 20-30 minutes at low heat.
Cool down and enjoy on top of some good bread, on a natural yoghurt with granola or in whatever dish where you can use jam.
